Entry requirements (passport and visas)

People who need a visa/entry permit for this visit should obtain it before travelling to Hong Kong, China. Visa or entry permit applications for visits may be submitted to the Chinese Diplomatic and Consular Mission (CDCM) closest to your office or home. Applicants for a visa/entry permit to Hong Kong, China, should meet the normal immigration requirements. Visa or entry permit applications can also be submitted by post directly to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. To shorten processing time, application forms and supporting documents can be sent by fax to (85 2) 2824 1133, in the first instance. However, the original copy of the duly completed application form and the photographs required should be sent immediately to the Hong Kong Immigration Department by airmail. A visa or entry permit will be issued only on receipt of an original, properly completed visa/entry permit application form. Under normal circumstances, an application for a visa or entry permit can be finalized within four weeks after receipt of all necessary documents.
