5. Passport and visa
All visitors to Japan must have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Japan. Travellers holding passports of the following countries can enter Japan without visas as long as they have onward tickets:

Nationals of Cambodia, China, Fiji, Hong Kong (China), Kiribati, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Macao (China), Malaysia, Northern Mariana Islands, Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Viet Nam and Wallis and Futuna must obtain visas from the nearest Embassy of Japan. The addresses and contact numbers of the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Japan are shown in Annex C.
If there are difficulties in obtaining visas, kindly communicate immediately with the Administrative Services Officer, World Health Organization Regional Office in Manila.
