The Regional Committee,

         Having examined the Proposed Programme Budget for the biennium 2000-2001 to be financed from the regular budget and other sources of funds;*

         Noting the impact of the reduced allocation resulting from the adoption of resolution WHA51.31 on priority programmes;

         REQUESTS the Regional Director to:

(1) review the Proposed Programme Budget to ensure that allocations reflect key WHO priorities as outlined to the forty-ninth session of the Regional Committee by the Director-General;

(2) report to the fiftieth session on the method and process to be applied in determining country allocations in the programme budget for the financial period 2000-2001.
