The Regional Committee,
Noting that the term of Tonga as a member, of the Global Programme on AIDS Management Committee expires on 31 December 1989;*
Aware of the recommendation of the GPA Management Committee to introduce a staggered membership with a three-year cycle;
SELECTS the Philippines as the Member State of the WHO Western Pacific Region whose representative shall be a member of the GPA Management Committee for a period of two years from 1 January 1990 to 31 December 1991.
