The Regional Committee,

         Having reviewed the report of the Regional Director on the work of WHO in the Western Pacific Region during the period 1 July 1987 to 30 June 1989;*

1. NOTES with satisfaction the manner in which the programme was planned and carried out and;
2. EXPRESSES its appreciation to the Regional Director and his staff and congratulates them on the work accomplished, and on the clarity and high quality of the report.
