The Regional Committee,

         Noting that the period of tenure of the representative of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as a member of the Joint Coordinating Board of the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases expires on 31 December 1988.

1. SELECTS the Government of China to send a representative to meetings of the Joint Coordinating Board for a period of three years from 1 January 1989 to 31 December 1991;
2. THANKS the representative of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for serving on the Board.
