The Regional Committee,

         Having reviewed the report of the Regional Director on the work of WHO in the Western Pacific Region during the period 1 July 1985 to 30 June 1987;*

1. NOTES with satisfaction the manner in which the programme was planned and carried out;
2. EXPRESSES its appreciation to the Regional Director and his staff and congratulates them on the work accomplished;
3. REQUESTS the Regional Director, in preparing future reports, to use as guidance the Regional Committee's comments, including those relating to changing trends.
