The Regional Committee,

         Considering Article 52 of the Constitution; and

         In accordance with Rule 51 of its Rules of Procedure;

1. NOMINATES Dr Hiroshi Nakajima as Regional Director for the Western Pacific; and
2. REQUESTS the Director-General to propose to the Executive Board the appointment of Dr Hiroshi Nakajima for a further period of five years from 1 July 1984.
