The Regional Committee,

         EXPRESSES its appreciation and thanks to:

(1) the Government and people of the Republic of Singapore for:

(i) having invited the Regional Committee to hold its thirtieth session in Singapore;

(ii) the excellent arrangements and facilities provided;

(iii) the generous hospitality received;

(2) the Honourable Minister for Health for having addressed the formal opening of the thirtieth session of the Regional Committee;

(3) the Chairman and other officers of the Committee;

(4) Dr A.N. Acosta, for acting as moderator of the Technical Presentation and Dr I. Douglas for making the Presentation;

(5) the representatives of the United Nations Children's Fund, the United Nations Development Programme and the nongovernmental organizations for their statements;

(6) the Regional Director and the Secretariat for their work in connexion with the session.
