The Regional Committee,

         Having considered the report presented by the Regional Director on the status of the antimalaria programme;*

         Recalling resolution WPR/RC29.R13;

1. THANKS the Regional Director for the information provided;
2. URGES Member States to:

   (1) intensify their efforts for combating malaria as set out in resolution WPR/RC29.R13;

   (2) collaborate in research activities in the field of malaria;

3. REQUESTS the Regional Director to continue to provide the necessary support.
