The Regional Committee,

         Having considered the reports of the Sub-Committee on the General Programme of Work;**

1. AGREES with the recommendations contained in the two reports;
2. REQUESTS the Regional Director to take appropriate action to put those recommendations into effect;
3. EXPANDS the terms of reference of the Sub-Committee on the General Programme of Work to include the study of WHO's structures in the light of its functions;***
4. REQUESTS the Sub-Committee to submit a report on this study to the thirtieth session of the Regional Committee.
