The Regional Committee,

         Considering Article 52 of the Constitution; and

         In accordance with Rule 51 of its Rules of Procedure;

1. NOMINATES in the order of preference as indicated by the order of their election the names of the following persons for the post of Regional Director for the Western Pacific:
   
   

   Dr Hiroshi Nakajima

   Dr Baja Ahmad Noordin

2. DECIDES that those names shall be submitted to the Executive Board; and
3. REQUESTS the Director-General to propose to the Executive Board that it authorize him to issue a contract to the Regional Director for a period of five years from 1 July 1979.
