Technical Cooperation Among Developing Countries

         The Regional Committee,

         Having studied the report of the Sub-Committee on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries, *

         Recalling resolution WPR/RC25.R11 which welcomed the recommendations made by the Working Group on Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme;

         Noting resolutions WHA28.75, WHA28.76. WHA29.48. WHA30.43 and EB60.R4 on the necessity to work out practical measures for full collaboration in the health field to enable developing countries to become self-reliant, and the actions already taken by WHO to participate in this programme;

  1. AGREES of the Sub-Committee;
  2. REQUESTS the Regional Director to implement as many of the proposals as feasible;
  3. REQUESTS the Sub-Committee to continue to study how technical cooperation among developing countries may be further developed.
