The Regional Committee,

1. Having considered resolution WHA23.59 adopted by the Twenty-third World Health Assembly on the general programme of work covering a specific period,

   1. NOTES that the World Health Assembly has decided to extend by one year the Fourth General Programme of Work of WHO;

   2. DECIDES to extend by one year the Third General Programme of Work for the Western Pacific Region;

2. Having considered the draft suggested by the Regional Director for the fourth general programme of work for the Western Pacific Region;*
   
   

            REQUESTS the Regional Director to submit the proposed programme to the Director-General for incorporation in the global general programme of work which will be discussed by the Executive Board at its forty-seventh season.
