The Regional Committee,

1. NOTES with satisfaction that UNICEF is prepared to assist in the establishment and development of the departments of pediatrics and the departments of preventive medicine in selected medical schools; and
2. RECOMMENDS that governments wishing to request assistance in this field from UNICEF should make full use of the advisory services of the Regional Office before formulating such requests.
