         The Regional Committee,

Realizing that among the virus diseases those which are insect-borne constitute a major public health problem in this region,

RECOMMENDS that experts in the Region be asked to prepare papers on the public health aspects of the problem for the consideration of the Expert Committee on Virus Diseases, and if the Expert Committee thinks fit, that a seminar should be held at a later date. **

** As the result of the discussions between the Regional Office and Headquarters, this seminar did not take place.
