Fourth session

Health Problems of Refugees

         The Regional Committee,

         REALIZING the sad plight of the refugees of Korea as reported by the Minister of Health of Korea:

         KNOWING that, as a consequence of war, multiple health problems have arisen, such as those of malnutrition, communicable diseases, sanitation, maternal and infant care, medical attention to the sick and injured, the aged, etc.;

         CONSCIOUS that in such national disasters other international agencies are invariably extending material aid to the sufferers and that WHO is to furnish technical advisory and consultative services,

         INSTRUCTS the Regional Director to give technical advice and to assist in the co-ordination of international assistance to governments in solving refugee health problems within their territories in this region.
