The Regional Committee,

         HAVING considered the report of the sub-committee set up to study Annual Report of the Regional Director:

         CONGRATULATES the Regional Director on the valuable work accomplished during the year, and on the nature and scope of the many activities in progress throughout the Region

         ADOPTS the Report as presented

         SUGGESTS that the Regional Director, in the coming year, in the Education and Training Programmes, give consideration to:

(1) encouraging fellowships within the western Pacific Region, and reducing as far as possible, fellowship involving study and travel in distant regions

(2) directing fellowship studies, where the requisite courses are available, to those institutions within the Region which have been given WHO assistance

         SUGGESTS that in future the Annual Report of the Regional Director cover the period 1^st August to 31^st July.
